Man shot, killed at Riverwalk Apartments in Macon identified

According to Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones, the victim has been identified as 22-year-old Douglas Stevenson.

MACON, Ga. — A man is dead after a shooting at Riverwalk Apartments on 5578 Riverside Drive in Macon.

According to Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones, the call came in just before 9:30 p.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to the apartment complex about a person shot and found a man unresponsive in his car, which was in the parking lot.

Jones says the victim is identified as 22-year-old Douglas Stevenson.

It was reported that there was a large crowd near the 100 building when a fight started and shots were fired, the sheriff's office says.

Stevenson was pronounced dead on the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. 

No one else was injured and the sheriff's office says there is no information on a suspect at this time.
