'Paw Patrol': Boise Fire rescues dog having a ruff day from river

Lyssa went swimming in the Boise River, got too doggone cold and became stuck on an island.

GARDEN CITY, Idaho — The Boise Fire Dive team rescued a small dog who became stuck on an island after swimming in the Boise River. 

Boise Fire Department (BFD) said it was a paws-itive outcome.

"Lyssa decided she wanted to go for a swim in the Boise River, but quickly realized the current is swift and the water is cold, and she got stranded on an island. The Boise Fire Dive team responded and made access to the river with the boat near E 51st St. in Garden City," stated BFD on social media.

The department said Lyssa is fine and was reunited with her owner.
