Indian River to open new trucking terminal in Cordele

It will add 125 jobs, with 100 of those being commercial truck drivers

CORDELE, Ga. — Indian River Transport Company announced Monday that it plans to build a new trucking terminal in Cordele, bringing with it more than 100 jobs.

The terminal will include offices, truck bays, washout facilities and an asphalt pad for trailer storage.

You may recognize the name Indian River from the grocery store or trucks on the interstate because most of the company’s freight is milk or orange juice.

Based in Winter Haven, Florida, the Cordele terminal will be its 6th satellite facility and the first in the southeast.

Construction should begin in mid-2019 and it will be along I-75 at exit 102.
