Coroner needs help identifying person found shot and killed in Macon parking lot

The call came in just after 9 a.m. Friday morning.

MACON, Ga. — A person was found shot and killed in a parking lot on Thomaston Road, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones. The call came in just after 9 a.m.

Jones said several shell casings were found near him at 6211 Thomaston Road. Their identity is unknown at this time and needs the public's help in identifying them. 

Jones said he is a black person, in their mid to late 20s with braided hair. They had two bracelets on his right arm and a diamond stud piercing in their right ear. They are 5'9" and weighs 160 pounds. 

This marks the 66th homicide of 2022.
