MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office has arrested one person in connection to the shooting death of a Macon 14-year-old.
They say the shooting happened at the intersection of Heron Street and Wren Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday.
When deputies arrived they found a 14-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent where he was later pronounced dead. The victim's name is Tre’mon Jarrell.
On Sunday, just before 5 a.m., 17-year-old Tylik Mantrez Green was taken from the Investigation Center to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Green was a person of interest and has now been charged with murder in connection to Jarrell's death.
Green does not have bond.
Investigators are working to determine what led up to the incident.
