Minnesota Zoo welcomes babies on the farm

So far this season, eight kids, two calves, a cria and chicks have all been born.

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. — A springtime tradition celebrates life on the farm at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley.

Farm babies return to the zoo from April 26 to May 19.

So far this season, eight kids (baby goats), two calves, a cria (baby llama) and chicks have all been born.

The first lamb of the season is due April 30, with additional babies expected in the weeks ahead.

On weekends (Fridays-Sundays) guests can enjoy special activities, such as a photo op with Clydesdale horses, animal feeding demos and milking demos.

Each Saturday, the Dakota County Library will host a Story Trail at the Farm at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.
