(UPDATE 3:05 p.m.) Peach County Sheriff Terry Deese says no charges were filed after an initial investigation because it is believed that someone at the home shot Goldie out of self-defense.
However, he says the investigation will continue and charges may be filed at a later time.

An argument at a home in Byron on Friday night led to the fatal shooting of a Fort Valley man.
According to Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks, 911 was called around 9 p.m. Friday for a person shot at a home on Twin Lakes Court in Byron.
Rooks says the victim, 35-year-old Lloyd Goldie, of Fort Valley, was found with ‘more than one’ gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.
He says the Peach County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating Goldie’s death as a homicide.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
