West Laurens Middle School paraprofessional arrested for assault on a student

The alleged assault happened during school hours.

DUBLIN, Ga. — A paraprofessional at West Laurens was arrested on Thursday after allegedly assaulting a student, according to a press release from the Laurens County Sheriff's Office.

The release says 45-year-old Lisa Hester of Dublin was arrested and charged with three counts of simple assault and one count of cruelty to children in the 2nd degree. 

The assault happened during school hours and while the student was being supervised by Hester.
