Maconites go on shopping spree at 15th annual Boutique Warehouse Sale, and help a good cause

The sale gave shoppers opportunities to save big, as well as donate to The Rescue Mission.

MACON, Ga. — Folks in Macon have the opportunity to ramp up their wardrobe on Saturday at the Boutique Warehouse Sale.

Originally, warehouse sales began as a way for boutiques to clear out excess inventory after the The Great Recession of 2008-2009. The owners of Rumor Boutique, Ashley Johnson & Judy Smith, organized the very first Boutique Warehouse Sale in Macon in 2010. Since then, it has become the biggest sale of the year for local boutique owners and their customers.

Each year, 11 local boutiques are offered the opportunity to be a part of the sale. The goal is that they clear out excess inventory, and customers can take advantage of awesome deals and discounts.

In addition to savings, customers can contribute to a good cause. They can pay for early admission to the sale at 8 a.m., and all that money will go toward helping the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia.

Each boutique will also donate additional merchandise to the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia after the sale is over.

The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Participating boutiques include:

  • Abreanne's
  • BB & Bernie Boutique
  • Britique Boutique
  • Dolly James Boutique
  • Frankie's
  •  Head Over Heels
  •  Merry & Bright
  • Pure Barre
