Mother's Day events: Where to take your mom to celebrate around Central Georgia

MACON, Ga. — Mother's day is coming up!

On May 12 moms everywhere will be honored, and lots of places around central Georgia have events planned to make moms feel special.

Here's a list of some family friendly outings to celebrate the mom in your life:

1) Mothers & Mimosas

Where: Harley-Davidson of Macon

When: Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can head down to Harley-Davidson of Macon to treat your mom to $3 mimosas by Parish, complimentary breakfast treats, pastries, and roses.

2) Mother's Day Floral Design Class

Where: Emerson at Plum, 543 Plum Street in Macon

When: Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

You and the mom in your life can learn how to make festive flower arrangements at this workshop by Jarvis Willis Events and Designs.

3) Mothers Finest plays The Garden

Where: 2389 Suite B Ingleside in Macon

When: Friday, May 17 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. 

Do you have one of the best mothers out there? Take them to see Mothers Finest live in concert at The Society Garden!

4) Ladies R&B Kickback Concert - Pt. 2 Pre Mother's Day Edition

Where: Atrium Health Amphitheater in Macon

When: Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. 

You can take your mom to see Keith Sweat, Silk, Bobby Valentino, Carl Thomas, Hi Five, Sammie, and Day 26 live at the Atrium Health Amphitheater!

5) Coffee & Calligraphy - Beginner Workshop

Where: Z Beans, 311 Cotton Ave in Macon

When: Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

You can celebrate Mother's Day early with brunch and learning a new skill at Z Beans. In the workshop you will learn the basics of pointed pen calligraphy, and take home all of the materials after class!

6) S&S Cafeteria Mother's Day meals

Where: S&S Cafeteria in Macon

When: Sunday, May 12 all day 

You can grab some good food and a free gift for your mom at S&S this Mother's Day. They open at 10:30 a.m.!
