Perry bridal shop to give away dresses to 12 military brides

Bridals By Gilbert in downtown Perry says they'll be giving away 12 wedding dresses for free to military brides next Thursday

PERRY, Ga. — Are you a soon-to-be military bride that's waiting to say yes to the dress? Bridals By Gilbert in downtown Perry may be able to help you out.

On May 23rd, they plan on giving away 12 dresses to 12 military brides for free as a part of their Military Appreciation Event, but you'll have to be quick.

The shop is choosing brides on a first come, first serve bases. To enter, you must call and schedule a one-hour appointment between 12 and 7 p.m. on May 23rd.

The shop says the bride or groom must be active military, and you have to present a copy of current orders at the appointment. No more than three guests per bride are allowed.

Brides will be able to choose from a pre-selected batch of dresses, and alterations are not included. As of Wednesday morning, Owner Maria Gilbert says they only have two appointments scheduled so far.
