Sanitation truck catches on fire and burns the side of a home in Houston County

The fire happened just before 7 a.m. Friday morning.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A sanitation truck caught on fire in Houston County and damaged property, according to the Houston County Fire Department.

The fire happened just before 7 a.m. on Lovorn Circle and Oaks Drive. A viewer, Deedra Hardrick, saw the fire happen and sent in video to 13WMAZ.

She said the heat was so intense from the truck that it burned the siding of the house facing Lovorn Circle. 

She said the driver was able to get out of the truck and get people out of the home safely. There have been no injuries reported and the fire department is investigating what started the fire.
