WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Two teens were hospitalized after being hit by a car in Warner Robins overnight.

According to a news release from Warner Robins Police, the accident happened around 12:50 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Booth and Wellborn Road.

Investigators say two pedestrians, a 17-year-old boy and 15-year-old girl, were walking east and pushing a Walmart shopping cart down the lane of travel on Booth Rood.

A 20-year-old driving in a Ford Taurus was also going east and hit the two pedestrians from behind.

Both teens were taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon and are being treated for serious injuries, the release says.

A preliminary investigation shows speed and impairment of the driver do NOT appear to be a factor in the accident.

It is still under investigation by the Warner Robins Police Traffic Division.
