Warner Robins man charged with shooting another man in the face

Police say the shooting appears to be drug-related

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A 24-year-old man is in custody and charged after a shooting that happened last Thursday in Warner Robins.

According to a news release, 24-year-old Akeel Zamor was arrested on Dec. 19 and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime.

Those charges stem from a Dec. 12 shooting where Zamor allegedly shot 26-year-old Christian Searcy in the face.

Officers met with a man who had a gunshot wound to the face at Houston Medical Center around 7 p.m. on Dec. 12.

The man, identified as Christian Searcy, told officers the shooting happened in the 1500-block of Watson Boulevard.

Officers found a BMW at the scene that had its windows shot out and belonged to Searcy.

He was taken to the Medical Center and officers got surveillance footage from surrounding stores.

Police said evidence suggested the shooting was drug-related.
