Woman shoots brother after allegedly attacking her husband with pipe, Warner Robins Police say

They say it happened around 5 p.m. on Friday. Both the husband and the brother are being treated at separate hospitals.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A fight between a man and his brother-in-law led to a shooting Friday afternoon, according to a press release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

Patrol units responded to a home in the 100 block of Gordon Street at around 5 p.m.

They say a woman shot her brother after he would not stop hitting her husband with a metal pipe. The release says they believe the man was shot "only after he failed to stop hitting the caller's husband in the head."

The department is not releasing the name of the involved parties because it is a domestic violence incident

After authorities stabilized the situation, Houston Healthcare EMS provided medical aid to both the man who was shot and the caller's husband, the release said.

The two men were taken to two different hospitals. The woman's brother was taken to Atrium Health Navicent and the woman's husband was taken to Houston Healthcare's Watson Campus.

The Warner Robins Police Department is investigating the shooting.

If you have any information, you are asked to call Detective K. Thompson at 478-302-5380 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-468CRIME.

According to Warner Robins Police Chief Wayne Fisher, because the investigation is on-going, no one has been charged as of Friday night.
