WASHINGTON — While most grocery and big box stores will be closed on Christmas morning, you're not completely out of luck if you need to run out to pick up a last-minute gift or forgot a key ingredient for your holiday recipe.
And while many major retailers and grocery stores will be open on Christmas Eve this year, a lot of those stores are planning to close early on Sunday, Dec. 24.
If you want a cup of coffee or last-minute groceries on Christmas Day, there are some stores that will be open, but expect limited hours at those that stay open.
Starbucks, Dunkin', McDonald's, Denny's, IHOP and Waffle House locations will be open, though it's best to call ahead and double check with your local store before showing up.
