ATLANTA -- Retail company Kohl's has released the list of stores set to close this year. In February, the company announced their plan to close 18 stores nationwide they classified as "underperforming."

Employees of the stores set to close will reportedly either be offered a job at a nearby store or have the opportunity to accept "a competitive severance package." Each store employs approximately 80 to 100 stores, according to Kohl's.

The Georgia stores closing are:

  • Holcomb Bridge, GA – 2342 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, Ga. -- Closing June 19, 2016

  • Lithonia, GA – 2929 Turner Hill Road, Lithonia, Ga. – Closing November 1, 2016

  • Northlake Mall, GA – 4820 Briarcliff Road, Atlanta, Ga. -- Closing June 19, 2016

In addition to closing stores, Kohl's said they are piloting seven smaller format stores in unannounced locations throughout the country, adding two "off/aisle" pilot stores in Wisconsin and opening 12 Fila outlet stores.
