Barrington Hall Members to Meet with Bank on Failing Golf Course

So far the Barrington Hall community says they've raised $180, 000 to save their golf course.

Earlier this month, neighbors banded together to work towards putting money into the golf course and Fox Run country club to make them attractive for a buyer. The owner, Ken Visinus, says he's lost $4 million since he took it over in 2002 and says by April 15, he will either default on his mortgage, go into bankruptcy or sell the whole thing. Mickey Belote is with the community's organizing committee.

Belote says more than two hundred folks have committed to a six month membership which would put $180,000 in their bank account. He says that's not enough to run the course but it's a start. He says they will continue their membership drive if things work out with the bank on Wednesday. />
