ATLANTA — The NFL has released the 2024 schedule for teams, and we now know when the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs will be in Atlanta.
And, yes, that means we also know when we may be getting a visit from noted Chiefs fan Taylor Swift.
The Falcons and Chiefs square off at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Week 3 of the NFL season in a Sunday Night Football game on 11Alive. That game will be played on Sept. 22.
Sources confirmed that Week 3 matchup earlier Wednesday to 11Alive's Maria Martin.

Swift made waves at several NFL stadiums around the country last year as she attended games to see her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce. It even culminated in an on-field kiss after Kansas City won the Super Bowl.
Now, we, of course, don't know whether Taylor will come to Atlanta for the Week 3 matchup or not. But we do know she's at least free from work obligations the weekend the Falcons and Chiefs are set to play.
Swift is continuing to play international shows throughout this year as part of her Eras Tour. She'll be in London for five shows in August, and she's scheduled for six Toronto shows in November.
But no show dates are scheduled for September -- when the Chiefs come to town (or October for that matter).
And, hey, if it turns out she's not coming to Atlanta, watching Kirk Cousins lead the new-look Falcons against Patrick Mahomes and the defending champs is still worth the price of admission.
