MACON, Ga. — An elderly man is in critical condition after a Macon wreck on Friday.

According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on Hartley Bridge Road just before 10 a.m.

It was reported that a 47-year-old man was driving on Hartley Bridge Road in a 2018 Ram pick-up truck when a black car abruptly changed lanes in front of it.

The truck went off into oncoming traffic and hit an 87-year-old man driving a 2015 Honda Civic, the release says.

The man was taken to a hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The black car that made the lane change didn't stop, and that is the only description of the car that is available, according to the release.

The accident is under investigation. Anyone with information about it can call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
