MACON, Ga. — This year, Macon-Bibb Chief Coroner Leon Jones is again offering free rides to folks in the county on New Year's Eve.
Jones and three additional volunteers will drive vans around town Tuesday night. Each van can carry up to 15 people.
Jones says he's seen his fair share of DUI-related deaths throughout the years and wants to try and help reduce that.
"Not only am I helping to save lives, I'm saving you the embarrassment from getting locked up with your picture placed all over Facebook, with your mugshot too," Jones said.
