MACON, Ga. — On Saturday, the community gathered for a Labor Day celebration at Filmore Thomas Park.
"This is my community we just want to get out celebrate workers educate people on the importance of having good labor unions and how labor unions help workers in the work force," said staff representative Alexander Perkins
The celebration was hosted by the Friends of Filmore Thomas Park.
The event started at 1 p.m. and features several events for kids and the whole family.
