Weather Update: Debris and limbs down in Houston County following suspected tornado

The debris was around Highway 41 in Centerville.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — A strong line of storms moved through Central Georgia early Wednesday morning with several tornado warnings issued including one in Houston County.

The National Weather Service is currently coordinating surveys in Houston County for a suspected tornado. They also are coordinating a survey for a suspected tornado in Crisp County.

Houston County EMA Director Chris Stoner says they have some limbs down and debris around Highway 41 in Centerville that crews are clearing, but overall it’s the same they see with most strong thunderstorms.

They are on standby to see if any reports come in as the sun comes up, but so far damage there seems minor.

There was no damage reported at Robins Air Force Base.

13WMAZ will provide additional updates when they are made available.
