New Air Force battle management mission headed to Robins

The mission will include drone aircraft based at Robins AFB

A new high-tech, high-flying mission is headed to Robins Air Force Base.

The Air Force will base what it calls the Advanced Battle Management System at Robins.

In a news release, they say the system combines global air and space intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance to give to give U.S. commanders real-time battlefield information.

The system will include drone aircraft based at Robins. So far, there is no word on the job impact, but they say the Air Force will use the Robins-based J-Stars aircraft for at least another decade.

There's also no word on when the Advanced Battle Management System will set up shop in Central Georgia.
