Operation Back to School | Here's how you can donate supplies

School supply donations will be accepted at Walmart stores across Central Georgia from July 26 to Aug. 5

Kids are gearing up to trade in their swim suits for backpacks as the start of the school year approaches.

Operation Back to School kicks off on Friday and 13WMAZ is teaming up with Walmart to help collect school supplies for families in need.

Donations will be accepted at the entrances of Walmart stores across Central Georgia. Shoppers can pick up extra school supplies during their shopping trip and drop them in the drop-off bins on the way out.

What can I donate?

All school supplies are accepted. Anything from index cards, folders and highlighters to hand sanitizer, tissues and notebooks.

The donation bins will be accessible during store hours between July 26 and Aug. 5.
