MACON, Ga. — UPDATE, 11:40 p.m.:
A 15-year-old was shot at the Houston Food Market located at 4141 Houston Avenue in Macon. According to Lieutenant Sean Defoe with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, it happened about around 10:45 p.m. Thursday night.
Upon arrival, deputies noticed the victim was shot in the face area. He was taken to Navicent Health and is listed in critical condition.
According to a news release, witnesses say the victim was standing out front with two others when the shooting happened. One of the males pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the face. The shooter and the other person then ran away.
The incident is under investigation at this time.
