Police: Man driving in Warner Robins hits man and keeps driving. Now, they're looking for the suspect

The crash sent a pedestrian to the hospital in "critical condition," the police department said.

MACON, Ga. — The Warner Robins Police Department is looking for a driver who they say hit a pedestrian back in March and drove away, according to a press release from the police department.

They say the hit-and-run happened just before 11 p.m. in the 4000 block of Watson Boulevard back on March 30. The department received a call notifying them of a person lying in the roadway after he was hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian Timothy Thomas was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, the police department said, but he has since improved to stable condition.

Now, the Warner Robins Police Department is looking for Dustin Nelson after they found the vehicle in Macon last week and determined Nelson was the one allegedly behind the wheel when it hit Thomas.

They say Nelson has a warrant out for his arrest in connection to the crash, but they have not been able to find him.

The Warner Robins Police Department Traffic Unit is still investigating. They ask if you have any information to call 478-551-4578 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers 1-877-68CRIME.
