Record Store Day is coming up soon. Here is what you need to know.

Releases include music from The Beatles, David Bowie, Sabrina Carpenter, Little Richard, Noah Kahn, Chappell Roan, Queen and more.

MACON, Ga. — Music lovers prepare yourselves because Record Store Day is coming your way on Saturday.

Record Store Day is a twice-a-year holiday to celebrate record stores and bring the music community together. Typically, it is observed in April and on Black Friday in November.

Arguably the biggest launch day is in April and music lovers will be lining up early to get a chance to snag vinyl pressings, CD's and more from their favorite artists.

At Record Store Day, visitors will have access to music from the largest labels to smaller indie record labels.

Anticipated releases include music from The Beatles, David Bowie, Sabrina Carpenter, Little Richard, Noah Kahn, Chappell Roan, Queen and more.

Not everything released on Record Store Day is new music but sometimes there is a new pressing of your favorite vinyls and some music may be coming to vinyl for the very first time.

This tradition has been keeping the love of tradition and physical media alive for over a decade.

Fresh Produce in Macon usually opens at noon, but on Record Store Day, they will open an hour earlier at 11 a.m.

Record Store Day is exciting because it gives fans a chance to support their favorite artist by buying physical copies of their work.

Some records are also exclusive to Record Store Day or at in-store locations.

So if there is something you have your eyes on, it is really important to get out to the store in-person and to get there early.

13WMAZ talked to the manager of Fresh Produce William Rutledge about Record Store Day in 2023. He said it is a great way to discover new artists.

"The nature of Record Store Day with the, like, 'This is your shot to get it.' If you want to get the most out of that experience, the best thing you can do is when they put out that list of two or 300 titles, start listening to stuff you've never heard of on it," Rutledge said.

You can find a full list of what is being released on the Record Store Day website.
