30-year-old man shot and killed at Warner Robins apartment, his brother has been charged with murder

The shooting happened at an apartment on Olympia Drive.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A man was shot and killed at an apartment in Warner Robins and his brother has been arrested and charged in his death, according to a release from the Warner Robins Police Department.

Deputies found 30-year-old Augustus Schaarschmidt with a gunshot wound. The shooting happened at around 7 p.m. at an apartment on Olympia Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

 Joseph Schaarschmidt, the victim's brother, has been arrested and charged with murder.

Warner Robins Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detectives Underwood or Smith at 478-302-5380.
