Macon Zaxby's robbed at gunpoint

A Zaxby's employee was about to get in his car with a deposit bag. That's when a masked man showed a gun and demanded the bag from the employee.

MACON, Ga. — Bibb County deputies are looking for a man that robbed a Macon Zaxby's at gunpoint Saturday morning.

According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the robbery happened at the Zaxby's at 4622 Hartley Bridge Road around 9:30 a.m.

It was reported that an employee left the Zaxby's with a deposit bag. When the employee was about to get in his car, a masked man went up to him, the release says.

The man showed a gun and demanded the deposit bag from the employee.

He took the bag, which had an undisclosed amount of money, and ran away.

No one was hurt.

The man is described as wearing dark clothing and a white mask covering his face. The sheriff's office says no more information is available right now.

The case is under investigation. Anyone with information can call the sheriff's office at 478-751-7500.
