Missing Macon 8-year-old located: 'He is safe and has been reunited with his family,' sheriff's office says

The boy, Ron Rico Lashane Kelly Jr., was seen by neighbors playing with neighborhood children at around 4 p.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office sent an updated press release at 10:49 p.m.: "Ron Rico Lashane Kelly Jr. was located just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday night. He is safe and has been reunited with his family."

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a missing 8-year-old boy, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

They say Ron Rico Lashane Kelly Jr. went missing in the 4100 block of Brookdale Avenue. 

Kelly was playing with neighborhood children at around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon, neighbors say, after getting off of the school bus earlier in the day.

When the child did not come home, the sheriff's office was notified, according to the press release. 

They say Kelly is 3 foot 11 inches and weighs around 67 pounds. 

He has black hair and brown eyes. He was seen wearing a burgundy shirt, black pants, black and white Jordan sneakers and a black and white jacket.

They say the sheriff's office is still looking for Kelly.
