Man in stable condition after east Macon shooting

An argument turned violent on Smith Street late Tuesday morning

MACON, Ga. — A Macon man is recovering in the hospital after being shot during an argument Tuesday.

According to a news release, it happened around 11:30 a.m. in the 700-block of Smith Street.

It was reported to deputies that a 30-year-old man was in a Toyota Camry when an argument happened.

During the argument, an unknown man shot the 30-year-old in the right arm.

He was taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health where he is listed in stable condition.

No one else was injured in the shooting and there is currently no information on the suspect.
