Victim identified in motorcycle crash where one died

The crash is being investigated by Georgia State Patrol.

BONAIRE, Ga. — A person is dead after a crash in Bonaire, according to Houston County Coroner James Williams. 

He says it happened on Saturday around 4 p.m. 

The drivers of a motorcycle and car hit each other. It happened on Highway 96 at Old Perry Road in Bonaire. 

Williams identified the victim as 53-year-old Michal Edmund of Baxley, Georgia.

Edmund was taken from the scene to Houston Healthcare where they later died.

Williams says there were other injuries in this crash but their conditions are unknown.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.

This is not the only crash to happen on Highway 96 on Saturday,

A 71-year-old man died after losing control of his car on Highway 96, according to Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks.

It happened around noon about three miles outside Fort Valley. 

A man was driving and lost control of his car. The car overturned and he was ejected from it. 

Rooks says the man has been identified as Viol Reeves of Butler, Georgia. 

Reeves was taken to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon where he was pronounced dead.
