It happened at a home on Atlantic Avenue.

MACON, Ga. — Editors note: A previous version of this story said 33-year-old  Latrese Johnson was dead. We later confirmed again with Coroner Leon Jones that she is on life support for donor purposes. Jones confirms Marie Russell died of cardiac arrest, possibly from an overdose.

One person is dead and two were hospitalized after a possible overdose in Macon, according to Coroner Leon Jones.

He says it all began at home in the 3000 block of Atlantic Avenue in Macon on Saturday night.

When first responders arrived they found 3 people unconscious.

Doctors pronounced 57-year-old Marie Russell dead shortly after she arrived at the hospital. Jones says she died of cardiac arrest, possibly from an overdose.

Jones confirmed the second person, 33-year-old Latrese Johnson, is on life support for donor purposes.

Currently, he said he is unsure about the condition of the third possible overdose victim.

Jones says he is waiting on toxicology results from the GBI Crime Lab to figure out what drug caused the overdoses.
