UPDATE: Bibb Sheriff's Office arrests suspect in Greenwood Terrace shooting

A man was found dead in the street after being shot during a fight on the 2400 block of Greenwood Terrace Wednesday night.

MACON, Ga. — UPDATE,  p.m.:

Bibb deputies have arrested 21 year-old Olivia Barry for her involvement in the shooting of a man at 2400 block of Greenwood Terrace on Wednesday night.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office's arrest warrant says that Barry claimed she was at a residence across the street from her home. While going back to her home to use the bathroom, she heard a gunshot ring out.

In response, the warrant says that Barry went and grabbed her gun.

When walking into her living room, she saw Thomas leaving the house with a gun in his hand.

Barry reportedly shot at Thomas, and Thomas fired back.

After the shooting eventually stopped, the warrant said Barry left her home and ran into the street where she saw Thomas sitting in his car.

She reportedly shot and killed Thomas, pulled him out of the car, and laid his dead body in the street.

The warrant accuses Barry of "willfully and unlawfully" causing the death of Thomas, even though Thomas was "not a threat."

The original release from the Sheriff's Office said that Barry and Thomas got into an argument in front of the house, and Barry grabbed a gun and shot Thomas.

Barry is charged with murder and is being held without bond in the Bibb County Jail.
