MACON, Ga. — A 44-year-old man was shot and killed in a Macon strip mall on Houston Avenue Monday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office. Now, the sheriff's office has identified the victim as 44-year-old Tavores Maurice Pearson of Macon.
It happened at a strip mall within the 3200 block of Houston Avenue, the press release said, and they received a call about the shooting at around 9:25 p.m.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and took the victim to a medical facility where he is currently being treated. They say he is listed in critical condition.
Pearson was the only person injured during the shooting. Now, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office is looking to figure out what led up to the shooting.
